Cooking with love!

I love cooking (not an expert as well) but sometimes cooking can make me mad and real exhausted especially when the recipe I have followed exactly turned out not nice, not presentable or tastes weird...some people said Chef won't tell you their correct ingredients or their correct amount of ingredient... Hmm..it makes sense to me...by the way I'm not giving up just yet, still excited to try new recipes online. I will share with you guys some of my recipes which become friend's all time favourite (especially during Raya)  like my Rendang Kismis, my Nasi Ayam, my Curry Mee, my Chicken and Beef Rendang, my Ayam Masak Merah, my Asam Pedas, my Chicken and Beef Curry and also my Masak Lemak Cili Padi. I wanted to put them all on my blog for my daughters to refer in future because all these recipes are also their favourite.

A few weeks ago someone posted this Moist Chocolate Cakes on Facebook and of course I would like to try my favourite chocolate cake! and this time the recipe is correct, it turned out a nice moist cake! The photos below are my third attempt baking this cake, so let's enjoy your tea time with this cake!

MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE

Ingredient A
1 cup cocoa powder
1 cup refined sugar
1/2 cup sweetened condense milk
1 cup vegetable oil (I use corn oil)
I cup evaporated milk

Ingredient B
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. bicarbonate soda
1 tsp. baking powder

Ingredient C
1 tsp. vanilla essence
3 eggs (room temperature)

For topping, there are may types of topping you can search on the Internet but I made the simplest topping.

Method

1. Sift all ingredient B and put aside
2. Put all ingredient A in a casserole, stir over low heat til sugar dissolves

3. Let it cool
4. Crack eggs and slightly beaten until fluffy

Pour eggs into the mixture
5. Add ingredient A into it and stir until mixture is smooth and blended well

Add flour

6. Preheat steamer and bring water to boil first

7. Pour the mixture into a greased baking pan and cover with aluminium foil to avoid the water drop onto the mixture while steaming

8. Steam the mixture for 1 hour 10 minutes

9. Let it cool and prepare the topping - SIFT together the icing mixture and Cocoa. Mix in the butter and enough hot water to form a soft icing. Spread over the cooled cake and decorate as desired.
